Join us for lunch and a conversation with Dr. Rafael P. Ribas (Department of Economics) about why and how to involve undergraduate students in research, particularly in disciplines where research is not traditionally organized around labs. He will discuss approaches designed to build a community around research, support students in pursuing more ambitious career goals, and help them develop the confidence and agency to direct their own learning and work. Participants will also have an opportunity to brainstorm how one or more of these approaches could be adapted to their own teaching. A selection of sandwiches and salads will be available for those attending this session in person. We will have dairy and gluten free options available, as well as vegetarian/vegan food. If you have a dietary need outside of that, please let us know at least a week ahead of the session. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch/snack! --- Event Details: https://boisestate.campusgroups.com/rsvp?id=397405
