Search has changed markedly, and our university websites need to do more than just rank well. In this two-hour session, participants will learn how to create clearer, more useful, and more trustworthy content for users, search engines, and AI-powered search tools. Traditional SEO asks: "Can users find the page?" Search satisfaction asks: "Can users find, understand, trust, and act on the answer?" AI-era discovery asks: "Can users, search engines, and AI systems recognize Boise State as the official source of truth for this question?" We’ll explore how to move from traditional SEO thinking to search satisfaction: helping our audiences find, understand, trust, and act on the answers and solutions we provide. You will learn how to use analytics data as a form of audience research to recognize user intent, improve page titles and headings, strengthen source-of-truth practices, and reduce outdated or duplicate content. This session is designed for Boise State website administrators and content creators who maintain public-facing web content and want practical ways to improve the quality, visibility, and authority of their pages in the era of AI-search discovery.
