Stem Cell Genome Engineering Series | Genome Editing

Date: Tuesday, October 13, 2026

Time: 12:10 PM

Venue: Cole Hall (Parnassus)

City: San Francisco, CA

Join us for our Stem Cell Genome Engineering Series | Genome Editing, which highlights advances in genome engineering for stem cell biology and therapeutic development, aligning with our vision to Discover, Engineer, Heal. At our Oct 13 session, we will hear from speaker Dan Wagner, PhD, who will present "Single-Cell Genomics: From Cell Atlases to Genotype-Resolved Biology." Single-cell genomics has transformed biology by enabling molecular measurements at the resolution of individual cells, driven by successive advances in microfluidics, molecular barcoding, and high-throughput sequencing. I will introduce the major technological architectures underlying modern single-cell genomics and discuss emerging approaches that extend these methods beyond descriptive cell atlases toward direct measurement of genotype-phenotype relationships in vivo. Speaker Lineup | Fall 2026 Oct 13 | Dan Wagner | Single-Cell Genomics: From Cell Atlases to Genotype-Resolved Biology Oct 27 | James Gardner | Normothermic perfusion systems as platforms for groundbreaking ex vivo human biology Nov 10 | Michelle Gbenedio | Getting started with organoids Dec 8 | Alex Pollen | Experimental and analytical techniques for village culture organoids UCSF welcomes all participants to our events. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in this event because of a disability, please contact IRMEvents@ucsf.edu as soon as possible.
