Menopause is a transition that about half of the population will experience in their lifetime, and which impacts nearly all aspects of an individual’s health and wellbeing. Interestingly, there are only two known mammals that have evolved to survive past their child-bearing years: teethed whales and humans. This unique experience has been receiving more attention in recent years, but does that translate to folks feeling like they know more about this experience or make it easier to talk about? Perhaps for some, but not for all. Join us for a 1-hour informational webinar focused on navigating information and resources for all things menopause. From folks supporting folks, to individuals preparing, experiencing, or transitioning out of menopause, this time will be dedicated to: Reviewing the basics of the menopausal transitionExploring the current research on menopausal experiences and the impact of misinformationBreaking down available resources for folks who might be: Curious about menopauseFeeling isolated in their experiences around menopauseBalancing physical and/or psychological reactions related to menopauseNavigating complex post-menopausal experiencesLooking to learn more about resources for others The experience of figuring out what we or someone we love needs in times of stress can be difficult, and sometimes the best place to start is somewhere. So let’s start by talking about talking about it.
