Gayle Brandeis is the author, most recently, of the memoir The Art of Misdiagnosis and the poetry collection The Selfless Bliss of the Body. Her other books include Fruitflesh and the novels The Book of Dead Birds, Self Storage, Delta Girls, and My Life with the Lincolns. Her work has appeared in numerous publications and has received honors including the Bellwether Prize for Fiction of Social Engagement and a Barbara Mandigo Kelly Peace Poetry Award. She has taught at universities, libraries, and conferences across the country, served as the Inlandia Literary Laureate, and is a founding member of the Women Creating Peace Collective. She is currently visiting faculty for the Low-Residency MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Nevada, Reno. Doors open at 5:30pm
