Dr. Rothe is a professor of psychiatry and a founding faculty member of the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He also serves as an adjunct professor at FIU’s Cuban Research Institute and the Latin American and Caribbean Center. A distinguished life fellow of both the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis, Rothe has dedicated his career to advancing mental health care. His work has focused extensively on the mental health needs of immigrant populations, with particular attention to psychological trauma, and he has written widely on these topics.
