The English and African American Studies departments will host a jazz poetry reading featuring three student readers--Kumari Ananda Devidasi Billings, Zoey Mills, and Wren Lee--and three poet laureates--LMU faculty members Kweku John, Poet Laureate of El Segundo, and Michelle Bitting, Poet Laureate of Pacific Palisades along with Lynne Thompson, the fourth Poet Laureate of Los Angeles. The Latin Jazz Fusion group YOCOYA will perform. The event is free and open to the public.
