CRS invites you to be part of a workshop in the Mojave Desert where participants will experience spectacular physical beauty and contemplative spaciousness at Norris Camp, a site administered by the University of California’s Granite Mountains Desert Research Center in the Mojave National Preserve. Embodying the values of Community, Accompaniment, Social Justice and Awareness, the three-day workshop (Nov. 13–15) will include guided conversations on desert spirituality, ecology, and peace-making, contemplative exercises, communal meals, hiking in the area and time to do absolutely nothing. Join us for a journey deep into both the physical and spiritual deserts. Your desert guides: Dr. Jennifer Abe, Professor emeritus of Psychological Science (LMU)Prof. Rubén Martínez, Fletcher Jones Chair in Literature and Writing (LMU)Dr. Douglas Christie, Professor emeritus of Theological Studies (LMU)
