This simulated archaeological site provides hands-on training in the study of material culture and helps students learn archaeological methods. This dedicated site for archaeological learning was curated by the LMU Archaeology Center and sponsored by BCLA. During the groundbreaking event, you will be able to have fun excavating mock archaeological structures and objects with the Institute for Archaeological Studies faculty and students. Comfortable shoes and clothing might be best if you wish to try your hand at excavating. This is an outdoor event** - bring a sunhat and sunglasses as needed. Garden gloves, knee pads, sunscreen, and all digging equipment will be available on site. Food and refreshments will be provided. ** The event will be canceled if it rains. Where is the arch plot?
