Students will come together to pack backpacks filled with essential learning supplies for students in need, in the neighboring Roger's Park area. These backpacks will be donated by AAHANA to Cradles to Crayons, a learning center on W Bradley Avenue that serves children who may not have access to the school supplies necessary for their education. Cradles to Crayons has received school supply donations from AAHANA in previous years, so this will be a great way to maintain that relationship with that organization and AAHANA. This will be a great opportunity for Loyola students to partake in an activity to give back to their community, especially the children in the area who are lacking resources and supplies that we take for granted, as undergarduate students. At this event, there will also be catering provided from Olive Garden.
