Melani Duffrin, Professor at Northern Illinois University, will speak on "Organic Food as a Tool for STEM and Health Learning: Building Programs for Educators and Communities." Drawing on more than two decades of NIH- and USDA-funded work through the FoodMASTER Initiative, including recognition by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy in 2024, the presentation will highlight adaptable educational resources, educator professional development, and partnerships.
