Curious how data can shape smarter, more equitable policy? Join us for an info session on the M.A. in Policy Analytics, a program built for future change-makers, whether you come from a background in economics, public health, political science, sociology, or something entirely different. You'll learn how the program blends analytical skills with real-world policy training, hear what faculty and students have to say, and get a clear picture of career paths in government, nonprofits, research, and beyond. No advanced data experience required, just curiosity and a drive to make a difference. Dr. Stefanie Kasparek is the program director for the Master of Arts in Policy Analytics and an Assistant Professor of Data Science. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Temple University, Philadelphia. Specializing in the behavior and impact of international organizations and state actors, her scholarship applies quantitative tools to investigate patterns in global cooperation, conflict resolution, international development, and policy diffusion. Working in a data science position lets her bridge perspectives on global affairs with advanced analytical methods. She is a recipient of the Box-Steffensmeier Scholarship for Women in Quantitative Research and was selected to participate in the Empirical Implications of Theoretical Models (EITM) summer institute. With a focus on real-world impact, her research informs both academic debates and policy discussions, contributing to evidence-based solutions in global governance. Dr. Kasparek holds the E-nnovation Endowed Professorship in Data Science at Goucher College.
