This Shabbat explores the many communities that make up Israeli society, with a focus on Ethiopian Jews (whose holiday of Sigd follows soon after) and Mizrahi Jews (honored throughout November). Through stories and traditions, participants will learn what makes each community unique. The Shabbat table will feature dishes from both Ethiopian and Mizrahi communities, offering a literal taste of the mosaic of identities that shape Israel today.
