Join Cultures, Communities & Inclusion for The Pink Thread: Woven in Strength! This event, funded by the Women’s Philanthropy Network, will be on October 19 which is International Breast Cancer Day (also known as World Day Against Breast Cancer). Education on breast cancer empowers you to protect your health, support your family, and strengthen your community. Serve your community by making self-care kits for those affected by Breast Cancer. Then, the Student Wellness Department and the Counseling Center will teach you how to complete a self-exam, spot warning signs, and maintain healthy habits. This initiative will support the Georgia State and broader Atlanta community by providing guests the opportunity to assemble self-care kits which will then be donated to a local health organization. Participation in this event will count towards community service hours.
