Double Reed Day brings together oboe and bassoon students, educators and enthusiasts for a day of performances, masterclasses, clinics and educational presentations. Led by Dr. Lara Dahl, the event celebrates the artistry and versatility of the double reed family while providing opportunities for learning, collaboration and musical exchange. The 2026 event features guest artists Celeste Johnson, Professor of Oboe at the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory, and Leigh Muñoz, bassoonist, contrabassoonist and Vice President of the International Double Reed Society. Participants and audiences alike can enjoy artist recitals, masterclasses, a double reed ensemble and a culminating performance featuring musicians from across the region.
